Foundation Module: Yoga Teacher's Guide To and Through the Body

55 Hours | Required Core Program

This training is the foundation because it teaches you to know the body in your bones (and muscles and tissues) and how the subtle, energetic body is deeply ingrained in the physical one.

We go region by region so that we can go deep into functional anatomy within yoga postures and within all types of bodies.

We aren’t just teaching a pose, we are teaching students how to own their bodies, how to heal their bodies, how to engage and elongate, and teach their muscles to play together so that they begin to light up in a posture that has always been hard for them. So that they trust their body working.

Just as importantly, you will learn how the body is feeling and how to develop energetic experiences for your students through the body.

Module 2: REST & RETREAT

30 Hours | optional Core program

Master the art and science of deep rest in this specialized training focused on restorative yoga and the nervous system. Beginning with an exploration of the central nervous system and vagus nerve, you'll develop a comprehensive understanding of why rest is essential and how to guide students into genuine relaxation.

The training encompasses three core areas: restorative yoga practice (poses, props, and class design), the koshas (energetic layers of being), and yoga nidra (yogic sleep). You'll experience the transformative effects of consistent practice through a daily yoga nidra practice during the training.

Learn to teach these practices at different times of day, develop workshops and retreat experiences, and guide students into meaningful rest in a world that rarely slows down.

Module 3: Pain Management, Cancer, and Private Sessions

30 Hours | optional core program

Develop specialized skills for working with students experiencing pain, cancer, and complex physical challenges. This training begins with understanding pain response through the nervous system and connective tissue, then explores how yogic approaches can help students manage and transform their experience of pain.

You'll gain practical knowledge of the lymphatic system and fascia, along with targeted approaches for specific conditions. We will look at Breast Cancer as a case study for serious illness. Beyond theoretical understanding, you'll learn how to develop specialized programs for these populations and how to effectively structure private sessions for people in pain, dealing with fear, and physical limitations.

This training empowers you to work confidently and compassionately with students across the spectrum of physical challenges, opening doors to specialized teaching opportunities and deeper service.
